RESPONSIBILITIES
Solution Design
- Develop end-to-end IMS solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure and meet the technical requirements of clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and translate them into comprehensive IMS architectures.
System Integration
- Lead the integration of IMS solutions into complex telecommunication networks.
- Ensure interoperability with various network elements, protocols, and third-party systems.
- Ensure that the IMS network is integrated with other network components such as the IP network and the radio access network.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior architects and engineers.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to IMS and telecommunications.
Requirements Analysis
- Work closely with clients to gather and analyse requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs and expectations.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for IMS solutions.
Documentation
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IMS architectures, configurations, and implementations.
- Produce clear and concise technical documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Quality Assurance
- Deploying and configuring the various IMS components, such as Call Session Control Functions (CSCF), Media Gateway Control Functions (MGCF), and Home Subscriber Servers (HSS).
- Responsible for maintaining the IMS network, ensuring that it operates efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of IMS solutions to ensure reliability, security, and optimal performance.
- Diagnose any network issues identified during testing.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve any network issues that arise.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure a unified approach to IMS solution development.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across different departments.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in telecommunications, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience working in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on IMS network deployment and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols such as SIP, IP, and LTE.
- Professional certifications, such as CCNP or CCIE, are desirable.
- Hands-on experience with IMS network components such as Call Session Control Functions (CSCF), Media Gateway Control Functions (MGCF), and Home Subscriber Servers (HSS).
- Knowledge of voice and multimedia communication services.
- German speaking preferred
